DIY Puffy Paint
Updated: Apr 13
Yep, we're still trying to keep these kids busy. Puffy paint is a fun, easy option! A simple recipe with ingredients you have on-hand!
I'm finding that arts & crafts is the way to go!
Not only do they have fun but it's hidden learning too.
Today we are making puffy paint! Why have I never done this before? Probably because I have so much regular paint at home that it's just easier to use what I have.
But these days, we are actually all probably looking for extra time right?
And what fun it is! I am loving this stuff and I know you and the kids will too! Of course it's super simple and hopefully you already have this stuff on-hand.
Here is what you need:
1C shaving cream
1/4 C glue
1/4 C flour
Squirt bottle (optional)
Like always, just eyeball these measurents. You're not going to mess anything up, I promise! It's only puffy paint lol.
But anyways, just use a big squirt of shaving cream, a squirt of white glue, and a dump of flour.
Mix all ingredients and then add a drop of food coloring. Done!
And you can use this for so many projects!
My kids have some extra foam poster board we cut up when do acrylic pour pictures (these are flipping awesome but SUPER messy..another day, I promise) and made fun art on those.
You can use your puffy paint on paper, scrap wood, the sidewalk, mirrors, doors or windows, anywhere you don't care about a mess I guess :)
